LocationOur West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.
Job SummaryThe Summer Camp Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for campers, staff, and visitors. This role involves monitoring camp premises, controlling access to facilities, enforcing safety policies, and responding promptly to emergencies or incidents. The security officer works closely with camp administration to ensure all safety procedures are followed and that campers remain protected at all times.
Responsibilities- Monitor and patrol campgrounds, buildings, and surrounding areas to ensure safety and security.
- Control access points by checking in visitors, staff, and vendors.
- Enforce camp rules, policies, and safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, disturbances, or suspicious activity.
- Assist with crowd management during events, field trips, and high-traffic times (drop-off and pick-up).
- Document incidents and prepare detailed reports for camp administration.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems (if applicable).
- Provide assistance and directions to campers, parents, and visitors in a professional manner.
- Conduct safety checks of facilities to identify and report potential hazards.
- High school diploma or GED (college students are welcomed).
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Prior security, law enforcement, or safety experience preferred.
