Albany State University is a fully accredited senior unit of the University System of Georgia. The primary duty of the Security Officer is to provide campus security by patrolling the property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and responding to calls for service involving parking, fire, and traffic complaints. The officer ensures the security, safety, and well‑being of all personnel and visitors in the campus community.
Required Qualifications- High school Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 20 years of age
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving record
- Must be able to communicate effectively (orally and written)
- Experience with a law enforcement or public safety agency helpful
$28,000 to $30,000
Physical Demands- Must be able to climb stairs and run short or long distances; lift 25 to 50 lbs
