Cath Lab Registered Nurse travel opportunity in Albany, GA — 17-week Cardiac Cath Lab Travel RN assignment for experienced interventional cardiology RNs. Join a fast-paced acute care team and provide high-quality cath lab nursing in a supportive environment near downtown Albany (zip 31701).
Job Details- Location: Albany, GA (zip 31701) — Georgia travel nursing opportunity
- Assignment Length: 17 weeks (March 16, 2026 – July 13, 2026)
- Setting: Acute Care, Cardiac Cath Lab (diagnostic & interventional)
- Shift: 10-hour days (7:00am–5:30pm or 7:30am–6:00pm), 4 weekday shifts/week
- On-Call: 1–2 days/week and every 4th weekend (30-minute response time)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Orientation: 1–2 weeks, floor-specific
- Scrub Color: Any color; solids and professional attire preferred
- Charting System: MEDITECH
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,250–$2,370/week
- Minimum 2 years recent Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience — diagnostic and interventional lab required
- Current RN license with state eligibility for Georgia (state license or compact eligibility)
- BLS and ACLS certifications current
- Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) required
- Ability to manage quick turnover in a high-acuity cath lab environment
- No first-time travelers — previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Interventional Radiology (IR) experience or Electrophysiology (EP) exposure is a plus
- RCIS collaboration experience and strong familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring
- Prior experience documenting in MEDITECH is beneficial
- Circulate during procedures across a 4-room lab (2 cath, 1 IR, 1 EP)
- Support 15–20 cases per day, including patient prep, monitoring, and post-procedure care
- Respond to on-call duties within a 30-minute timeframe as required
- Collaborate closely with RCIS/RTs, physicians, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient care
- Maintain professional standards, sterile technique, and provide compassionate patient-centered care
- Participate in rotating day-off schedules, including a 4-day weekend every 5th weekend
- Gain hands-on experience in a high-volume Cardiac Cath Lab and enhance your interventional cardiology skills
