Unit: 2C Observation Unit (22 beds) | Meditech | Strict 75-mile radius

Ratios: 1:5–6 (charge in staffing; may take patients) | CNA support (2 if able)

Certs: BLS required (ACLS highly recommended)

Tele/

Skills:

Heavy tele (central monitoring; RNs don’t read strips); heparin drip only; no vents; RNs do own EKGs and lab draws

Schedule:

12s | every other weekend | holidays rotate | no call | float to Med/Surg

Orientation/Dress: 3 shifts | Caribbean Blue/White scrub options

Notes:
Very fast-paced, high turnover (up to ~16 discharges/day with refill).
