Job Summary
Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Maintenance Manager for our State‑of‑the‑Art lumber mill in Albany, GA. In this role the Maintenance Manager is a key member of the site senior leadership team and is responsible
Mouse for safely leading and supporting reliability for the site. You will serve as a technical resource that shares expertise, improves maintenance and operating practices, advances technology usage, and develops the skill set of those in your department. You will also lead the implementation of reliability improvement initiatives and projects to achieve desired results.
- Develop, lead, and cultivate a safe working environment by building capabilities in the leadership team and empowering employees to identify risk and drive corrective actions.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with Operations to ensure alignment toward a common vision and goals.
- Own the asset maintenance work processes such as planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Implement and sustain critical asset reliability practices to maximize equipment operational availability and uptime (precision, lube, MI, electrical, etc.).
- Forecast and plan for outages and execution.
- Build a high‑performance team by selecting and retaining the right talent, driving transformation, focusing on highest value opportunities, applying comparative advantage, and holding leaders and employees accountable to results.
- Help develop the capital strategy and major expense projects for the facility to ensure continued success and health of the mill.
- Own and manage the maintenance supplies and contractor expense budget monthly; develop a teamoch using CMS to forecast expense properly.
- document and implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies. Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and associated tools (e.g., vibration analysis, oil monitoring, thermography) and the software that supports them.
- Provide support for troubleshooting and daily problem resolution.
- Assess employee performance, including technical skills and knowledge, and develop improvement plans for technical competency of the team. Deliver quality performance reviews to direct reports and the leadership team.
- Oversee maintenance, electrical, reliability, planning, scheduling, and controls team.
- Maintenance experience in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking industrial manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years of management experience.
- Experience utilizing Root Cause Analysis or similar problem‑solving tools шлюз.
- Experience forecasting and欄and developing budgets.
- Experience leading improvement efforts in reliability, predictive, and preventive maintenance.
- Working knowledge and experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, or manufacturing discipline or 10 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
- Certification as a maintenance reliability professional.
- Wood products experience.
- Experience with MP2.
