Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• Patient ratio of 1 to 4

• Weekend requirement every 3rd-4th weekend

• Holiday requirement every other holiday

• Must live 75 miles or more from facility (driver's license address verification required)

• Minimum 2 years ER experience in acute care setting required

• Minimum 5 years experience preferred, highly preferred travel experience or Level 1 Trauma Facility experience

• Must have Meditech 6.15 experience

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ASLS or NIHSS; TNCC preferred

• Must pass online Cardiac Rhythms test (minimum 80% score) and ESI Triage Exam during orientation

• ESI triage training preferred but not required

• Experience with Alaris pumps preferred

• Caribbean Blue scrubs required

• Floor-specific orientation of 1-2 shifts depending on comfort level

• Nurses responsible for own lab draws and IV starts

• Care for patients from pediatrics to geriatrics including trauma, stroke, orthopedic, and neurological cases

• Work in fast-track area for less acute patients and screen non-emergent patients to community care clinic

• Cancellation policy allows 12 hours every 2 weeks

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive emergency department with 25 monitored beds, 6 fast treatment beds, 6 fast treatment chairs, 2 trauma bays, and a dedicated stroke room. The facility handles approximately 140 patient visits per day and features a 4-bed behavioral lockdown area staffed by psychiatric professionals. The department maintains 24/7 coverage with dedicated respiratory therapy, pharmacy services, and central monitoring technology.

The facility serves as a stroke center and provides trauma care with appropriate transfer protocols for specialized cases.
