Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 6:45 AM - 6:45 PM or 6:45 PM - 6:45 AM

• Every other weekend requirement

• Must maintain 5:1 patient ratio on 44-bed cardiology stepdown unit

• 3-shift floor-specific orientation provided

• Must have 2 years stepdown experience in acute care setting without exception

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS preferred

• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips using Phillips monitoring system

• Work with cardiac drips including Cardizem, amiodarone, dobutamine, dopamine, heparin, and others

• Manage patients with BiPap, CPAP, Vapotherm, and high flow oxygen (no full ventilators)

• Care for post-operative cardiac patients including CABG, cardiovascular surgery, and cardiac procedures

• Handle chest tubes, pacer wires, and various cardiac interventions

• Float to ICU for stepdown patients only unless ICU experience documented

• Use MEDITECH electronic medical record system

• Must be flexible for holidays and days around holidays

• Fast-paced environment with 12-16 patient discharges/admits per shift on busy days

• Dress code requirements:
Caribbean blue scrubs, natural hair color only, no fake nails or shellac, no facial piercings, no visible tattoos

• Must live 75+ miles from facility address on driver's license

• 12-hour cancellation policy every 2 weeks

Adex Job . Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
