Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• Must live at least 75 miles from facility (driver's license address verification required)

• Minimum 2 years of ER experience in acute care setting required

• Must have Meditech 6.15 experience

• Highly preferred: travel experience or 5+ years in Level 1 Trauma Facility

• Patient ratio of 1:4

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ASLS or NIHSS; TNCC preferred

• Must pass online Cardiac Rhythms test (minimum 80% score) and ESI Triage Exam during orientation

• Work every 3-4th weekend and every other holiday

• Handle approximately 140 patient visits per day

• Care for patients from pediatrics to geriatrics including trauma cases

• Work in 25 monitored beds, 6 fast treatment beds, 6 fast treatment chairs, 2 trauma bays

• Perform own lab draws and IV starts

• Floor-specific orientation of 1-2 shifts depending on comfort level

• Work with dedicated triage nurse and central monitoring tech

• 12-hour cancellation policy every 2 weeks

This healthcare facility features a comprehensive emergency department with 25 monitored beds, multiple treatment areas, and specialized trauma capabilities. The facility serves as a CVA center and handles a high volume of approximately 140 patients daily, ranging from pediatric to geriatric cases. The emergency department includes a fast track area for less acute patients, a 4-bed behavioral lockdown unit, and dedicated stroke room, supported by 24/7 respiratory therapy, pharmacy services, and multiple physicians and mid-level providers.
