Travel Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• Every other weekend schedule required

• 2 shifts guaranteed per schedule

• Minimum 2 years of ICU specialty experience required - no first-time travelers

• Must be comfortable with fresh open heart patients with experience within the past 12 months

• Knowledge of balloon pumps (IABP) and CRRT required

• Must be willing to float between CVICU, SCIU, CCU, and ICU units based on census

• May float to 4AB stepdown unit or ED for task assistance

• Strict 75-mile radius residency requirement

• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS

• Charting system: MEDITECH

• Dress code:
Forest green or white pants with white top

• Work with Draeger ventilators and standard ICU drips

• Patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity (open heart cases are 1:1)

• Must participate in interdisciplinary rounds and patient presentations

• Handle high acuity cases including sepsis, DKA, pneumonia, ARDS, MODS, CV surgeries, and post-vascular procedures

• Strong assessment skills and well-rounded medical, surgical, and cardiac experience required

• BSN not required

• 12-hour cancellation policy every 2 weeks
