Duties
* You will be responsible for developing and implementing a systemic inspection program for all facilities on the installation.
* You will inspect and initiate immediate corrective action in circumstances as they arise, involving storage of hazardous materials, broken or leaking gas lines.
* You will provide guidance and instruction to subordinates in areas such as recommended training, inspection of facilities, plans reviews and daily work schedules.
* You will establish criteria, formulate projects, assess program effectiveness, investigate or analyze a variety of unusual conditions, problems or questions.
* You will review all plans for new construction, alterations, renovation of facilities on the installation.
* You will keep the Fire chief informed on all matters relative to the fire prevention training and safety programs.
* You will be at all times to present a detailed report on the Fire Prevention program requirements, objectives and accomplishments Requirements Conditions of employment
* Must be a US Citizen.
* Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
* Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

* This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

* Must possess the following certifications issued either by the DOD, the Pro-Board, or the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC):
Hazardous Materials Awareness;
Hazardous Materials Operations;
Technician and Incident Commander.
* Must possess the following certifications issued either by the DOD, the Pro-Board, or the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC):
Fire Officer III;
Fire Inspector II;
Fire Instructor II.
* Must be trained and certified to the Department of Transportation or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Emergency Medical Responder or equivalent level.
* Must possess EVOC-Emergency Vehicle Operators Course and state class F driver's license.
* FEMA
Certifications:
ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-300, ICS-400, ICS-700 and ICS-800. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical expertise, and training in fire protection efforts; assigning work requirements;
directing firefighting operations; implementing plans and programs; and providing direction during emergency incidents. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website:
