LocationOur West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.
Job SummaryThe Graduate Academic Success Coach and Counselor supports the academic achievement and professional development of graduate students by providing holistic advising, coaching, and support services. This position is responsible for assisting graduate students with academic planning, addressing barriers to success, and implementing personalized strategies to promote retention, progression, and timely graduation. This position is funded through Title III sponsored funds. Continuation of employment is based upon the availability of funds.

Responsibilities- Provide individualized academic coaching for graduate students to support goal setting, time management, research planning, and academic performance.
- Counsel students on graduate academic policies, thesis/dissertation process, and degree requirements.
- Identify and proactively engage at‑risk graduate students using performance data and faculty referrals.
- Collaborate with graduate program coordinators, financial aid, faculty advisors, and student support services to develop holistic support plans.
- Facilitate workshops tailored to graduate student success, including topics such as stress management, scholarly writing, and career development.
- Monitor graduate student progress and maintain records in CRM systems.
- Refer students to appropriate university and external resources for academic, personal, or professional support.
- Support graduate students onboarding, orientation, and transition programs.
- Participate in ongoing training and contribute to program evaluation and development efforts.
- Master's degree in Counseling, Higher Education, Psychology, Health Sciences, STEM fields, or a related field.
- Minimum of one year of experience supporting/advising college‑level students in higher education or a related academic setting.
- Demonstrated ability to provide academic advising and coaching to diverse student populations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Master's in any of the academic fields referenced above required. Doctorate degree is a plus but not required. A plus is candidates with strong experience in graduate academic advisement.
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
