Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 209.

Job Summary

The Student Success specialist reports directly to the Executive Director of Student Success and provides advising, administrative, reporting, and programming support for four major initiatives:
1) onboarding;
2) Summer Success Academy;
3) academic recovery; and
4) COMPASS. This includes supporting the delivery of core student success and support services and student follow-up services; performing support duties requiring expertise in data gathering and reporting, office management, fiscal management, customer relations, or other specialized services; and coordinating with faculty, staff, and administrators in programs related to student success and support. Works collaboratively to implement goals and objectives of assigned areas/programs;

resolves issues and recommends solutions related to student success.

Evening and weekend hours are periodically required to support student success events and initiatives.

This position is grant-funded and is contingent upon the availability of external funding. Employment in this role is for a limited term and will be reviewed annually based on continued funding and program needs.

Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Support outreach to targeted students via phone, email, and mail, connecting them to campus resources.
  • Audit schedules for targeted student populations to identify concerns, errors, and trends and report them to the Student Retention Coordinator.
  • Assisting with monitoring the department emails and responding to students' questions, concerns and needs
  • Monitoring budgets and performing purchasing functions.
  • Developing content for and maintaining the Student success social media and webpage.
  • Developing surveys, collecting data, and reporting on data for Student Success Initiatives.
  • Engaging in professional development related to transition, college life, and retention.
  • Representing Student Success at requested campus events.
  • Performs other duties, as required
Qualifications

Required: A bachelor's degree required from an accredited institution

Minimum of 2 years of experience working with student populations.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in office management, social media, customer service, budgeting or data collection.

Experience with Banner preferred

Proposed Salary

Compensation will be based on the candidate's education, experience, and qualifications.
