LocationOur West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.
Job SummaryThis is a 12-month on campus non‑tenure track faculty nursing position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Faculty members in the Department of Nursing are expected to teach graduate and undergraduate nursing courses when academic background supports both tracks. Only faculty with advanced preparation toward a doctoral degree, or doctor Artifact, are expected to teach on a graduate level. All graduate and undergraduate faculty are responsible to the Program Director and Department Chair relative to course planning and evaluation, studentopc reg, registration process, and other departments and interdepartmental service and scholarly functions.
Faculty course loads include not more than 15 semester hours of coursework. Each term faculty are required to post daily office hours available for student advisement. Faculty are assigned committee leadership tasks within the College and University. In addition to teaching and service commitments, faculty are expected to engage in scholarly endeavors, i.e. research‑related activities, clinical practice, and/or writing in publications in referred publications.

Responsibilities- Participate in curricula development and evaluation.
- Assist in student academic advisement and registration as needed.
- Provide appropriate assistant to part‑time faculty. że
- Engage in scholarly activity including research and publishing.
- Participate on assigned Department/College/University committees.
- Improve professionally and maintain currency in the field through scholarly work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Master's or higher degree in Nursing. A baccalaureate degree in nursing will be considered with documentation of progress towards an earned graduate degree in nursing and have experience in the area of responsibility.
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a registered nurse in a practice area. BONUS
Candidate must also be licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Georgia.
Preferred QualificationsDoctorate in Nursing, Education, Philosophy or other related field.
