Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.

Job Summary

The Lecturer's primary focus is teaching undergraduate biological science classes including, but not limited to general biology (majors and non‑majors), anatomy & physiology 1 & 2, microbiology, or other courses as directed by the department chair with a standard teaching load of fifteen (15) credit hours per semester.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching both introductory and advanced level courses, preparing and delivering lectures in face‑to‑face and online environments, leading and moderating classroom discussions and administering and grading examinations.
  • Demonstrate excellence in teaching and a commitment to integrating new technologies in the learning process.
  • Advising and mentoring students and participating in campus events.
  • Posting daily office hours available for student advisement.
  • Assigned committee leadership tasks within the Department and College.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Master's degree in Biology or a Master's degree in a related STEM area with 18 credit hours in the area of Biology.

6 months to a year of applicable teaching experience at the collegiate level.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctorate degree in Biology or related areas preferred.

Expertise in areas of Human Anatomy/Physiology or Principles of Biology.
