Position Summary

The Department of Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy is seeking an outstanding candidate to join the faculty and provide leadership in clinical practice, teaching, scholarly activities, and administrative responsibilities. This full-time, non‑tenure track position is at the rank of clinical assistant, associate, or full professor and will be located in Albany, Georgia.

The primary duties include didactic and experiential teaching of pharmacy students, development and maintenance of an active clinical practice site, involvement in scholarship, and engagement in citizenship to the college. The position also serves as Extended Campus Coordinator (ECC) for the P3 Albany Extended Campus Site.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and coordinate courses or equivalent team‑taught courses throughout the P1–P4 curriculum. Teach didactic course topics (e.g., Pharmacotherapy, Clinical Seminar) and skills/laboratory‑based classes (e.g., Applied Pharmacy Practice). Teach experiential courses.
  • Develop and maintain a nationally recognized program of scholarship.
  • Participate in departmental, college, and university committees, as well as health system and professional organizations.
  • Serve as a local contact for P3 academic and student affairs issues, collaborating with college‑level administrative units to resolve campus issues, amplifying communications pertinent to the P3 campus, and connecting stakeholders external to the College of Pharmacy to the appropriate academic or administrative unit.
Additional Requirements
  • Candidates must have a current license or demonstrate the ability to become licensed to practice in the state of Georgia.
  • The successful candidate will have specialty or PGY‑2 residency training with evidence of teaching effectiveness (or contributions), or fellowship training with evidence of teaching effectiveness, or postdoctoral training with evidence of teaching effectiveness, or at least two years of previous experience teaching in a college/school of pharmacy.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification
  • Well‑established teaching record demonstrating excellence in teaching and evidence of scholarship.
  • Record of academic administrative contributions.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
  • Preference given to candidates who can develop and maintain clinical practice and scholarship in rural health, population health, ambulatory care, internal medicine, family medicine, infectious disease, cardiology, or community practice.
  • Preference given to candidates with strong communication skills and the potential for excellence in teaching.
