JOB SUMMARY

The Equipment Operator / Crane Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment to support O&M operations of roads, pads, and airstrip at the Pt. Thomson field. The ideal candidate will possess an NCCCO certification for mobile crane operation with the ability to operate all equipment on-site in support of O&M operations of roads, pads, and the airstrip.

The Equipment Operator / Crane Operator will be required to operate all equipment on the job site including tractor-trailers, lowboy trailers, front-end loaders along with many attachments, zoom boom, snow blowers, motor grader, excavator, skid steer, vac truck, potable and grey water vac trucks. Equipment Operator / Crane Operator is responsible for performing road / pad / airstrip maintenance during both winter / summer conditions.

The ability to successfully complete daily walk-around inspections of tractor-trailer and/or equipment, load inspections, and properly securing equipment weighing up to 125,000 pounds. Inspect all load-securing devices. This will be a multi-skilled position with the ability to support many varying daily tasks required by the project. The ability and willingness to operate the required piece of equipment for the respective job for the day will be the key to the success of both the position and the project.

Other duties may be assigned as business needs require. Point Thomson is a remote location, consisting of an initial small work force to support operations. The employee's ability and willingness to support work outside of their normal duties are often required. Most importantly, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work in a multi-skilled role helping where needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Operate a wide variety of pieces of heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

• Snow removal, gravel road, and gravel runway maintenance will be a major component of this position and previous experience is desired.

• Handling of luggage and cargo and support of flights in and out of Point Thomson

• Hauling of potable and grey water operations as needed

• Perform fueling of non-mobile equipment (heaters & light plants)

• The operation of Vacuum Trucks

• Maintain pump in pump out stations

• Prepare, update, and maintain logs, records, and equipment maintenance schedules.

• Monitor equipment operation and identify malfunctions.

• Inspect, adjust, and assist in performing minor equipment repairs.

• Clean, store, and maintain equipment as required.

• Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.

• Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• High-school diploma or GED.

• Five (5) years of Heavy Equipment Operating experience related to road maintenance and utility industry.

• Crane Operator and NCCCO Certification.

• Current DOT medical card and Class A commercial driver's license with tanker and HAZMAT endorsements.

• Driving record must meet Company requirements.

• North Slope Training Cooperative certification may be required.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Experience in the oil and gas industry and in the arctic environment.
