Location: Prudhoe Bay
This is a temporary, remote position, located on the North Slope, with an expected duration of 6-8 weeks, with the potential for additional work scope to be added. Anticipated start date is March 2026. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location.
Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided. Relocation assistance to Alaska is not provided.

Job Purpose:
Our Journeymen Electricians are responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation and construction of industrial electrical equipment and systems found in an industrial or commercial environment through the proper use of standard wire, MC-HL cable, conduit, fittings, and hardware commonly found in industrial plants.
Essential Job Functions:
* Read and understand wiring schematics, design drawings, and specifications.
* Responsible for use and care of the tools and equipment commonly employed in industrial construction such as hydraulic/electric conduit benders, knockout punch sets, cable pullers, meggers, hi-pot equipment, volt meters, multi-testers, and ammeter.
* Set and secure electrical distribution equipment including switch gear, transformers, motor control centers, power panels and instrument and control junction boxes.
* Install power, control and instrumentation circuits ranging from 24V DC up to 13.8KV.
* Bend, cut, thread, and install conduit.
* Install and terminate wiring.
* Check out and troubleshoot simple electric circuits and electrical devices and machinery.
* Accountable for testing, troubleshooting, installing power distribution and motor control circuits.
* Mentor apprentices with the intent of creating competent future journeymen not only in the electrical trade, but also in the Worley safety culture.
* Participate in daily and weekly Toolbox meetings.
Knowledge, Skills, Ability:
* Basic understanding of electrical circuits including the operation and function of typical electrical devices and machinery such as solenoids, relays, motors, transformers, switches, motor control centers, generators, batteries, and lighting systems.
* Possess an excellent knowledge of the National Electric Code.
* Must be able to follow all company, client, safety, and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, policies,
* procedures, standards, and guidelines as they relate to this position and the work duties being performed.
* Have adequate written and oral communications applicable to standards set by organization.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to:
* Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.
* Standing for prolonged periods of time.
* Driving for prolonged periods of time in the dark and inclement weather
* Ability to climb scaffold, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and/or wellhouse/tank/facility fixed ladders of 20 feet or greater.
* Ability to wear and utilize fall protection within manufacturer specifications.
* Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.
* Lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.
* Carry 50 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands.
* Push/pull 60 lbs. sled for 20 feet.
* Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet.
