Salary Range: $19.00 plus bonus potential

A Security Guard is responsible for monitoring the assigned area, ensuring proper identification, evicting trespassers and writing reports detailing any occurrences during their shift.

• Protect a company’s property, employees, and visitors.
• Monitor activities in the assigned location on the company’s premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure.
• Evict trespassers and violators, detaining perpetrators following legal protocols until authorities arrive.
• Control the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles according to protocols.
• Provide detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents to management.
• Use communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise manner.
• Perform CPR or first aid when needed.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

• Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat.
• Prolonged periods of standing or sitting.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times.
• Ability to communicate in English with associates and guests.
• Ability to read, write, and count to accurately complete documentation.
• Must have or be willing to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Have current TWIC card certification (preferred).
• Work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
• Work in an unheated building.
• Willing to live in a remote, rural community.
• Comfortable traveling by small plane or ferry to and from a remote setting.
• Able to walk and/or drive on gravel roads in inclement weather.
• Season hours can be extended.

Hourly Wage: $19.00 (plus bonus potential).
