Provide critical care in a step-down unit setting with a focus on patient recovery and monitoring. This opportunity involves working a night shift in a progressive care unit, supporting patients who require specialized nursing attention after intensive care.

This role is based in Eagle River, Alaska, a scenic community known for its stunning natural surroundings and outdoor recreational activities. The area offers a unique blend of small-town atmosphere with access to the amenities of a larger city nearby.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a step-down unit
• Monitor patient status and communicate changes promptly to the healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Ensure adherence to infection control and safety guidelines
• Document patient information accurately and timely in medical records

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required at the time of application
• Experience in step-down or progressive care nursing preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills
• Flexibility to work the 7:00 pm to 7:00 am shift

Schedule/

Hours:

• Night shift: 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Additional Details:

• Contract assignment lasting 13 weeks
• Immediate start available
