Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a role focused on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to promote optimal patient outcomes. This position entails coordinating and directing nursing care across a diverse patient population-from birth through elderly-while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality and efficient care delivery. You will serve as a resource for nursing staff and apply culturally sensitive practices aligned with the organization's mission and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop nursing diagnoses.
• Plan and implement patient-centered care based on nursing best practices.
• Evaluate patient responses and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Educate patients, families, and significant others about health conditions and care plans.
• Supervise unit secretaries and patient care technicians in coordination with the Charge Nurse.
• Follow guidelines and document all nursing actions accurately.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Nursing education completed at an NLN-approved institution.
• Current, valid Registered Nurse license in good standing with the State of Alaska.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Minimum of one year healthcare experience preferred.
• Proficiency in nursing process, medical terminology, and basic EKG skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to use office and medical equipment effectively.
• Demonstrated capacity to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of nursing standards and ability to comply with applicable regulations.
