Job Description:
Registered Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse
Performs duties as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in a critical access hospital and nursing home facility. The role primarily involves working six 12.5-hour night shifts and taking 24 hours of call during a two-week pay period. Utilizes the nursing process to deliver patient care, requiring a good working knowledge of nursing techniques and strong basic nursing skills. Often works independently without direct supervision.
- Must hold current licensure as an LPN or RN in the State of Alaska. Preference for RNs with at least 2 years of acute care experience.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Experience with EMR documentation and a genuine interest in nursing and patient care.
Integrity, professionalism, teamwork, a strong work ethic, self-motivation, critical thinking skills, good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, initiative, patience, excellent communication skills, and good judgment are essential qualities for a nurse at Petersburg Medical Center.
