SummaryThis position is a skilled Production Seafood Processor responsible for operating two or more lines of production. The Meal Plant Key III residing in Trident housing will incur a co‑pay of $15 per day for room and board, for each day at least 8 hours of work is offered.
Essential Functions- Assist the lead in performing essential functions on two or more lines of production.
- Assist with on‑line training of new hire processors.
- Clean, sort, and prepare various types of seafood for processing according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Remove shells, scales, bones, and other unwanted parts from seafood products using specialized tools and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, processing tools, and storage areas.
- Follow proper handling and storage procedures to prevent contamination and maintain product freshness.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals in a fast‑paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Report equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Adhere to all food‑safety regulations and industry standards to ensure the production of safe and high‑quality seafood products.
- Acquire knowledge of Trident’s environmental and safety policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities accordingly.
- Notify designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements- Must be a current Trident Seafoods employee or have worked for Trident Seafoods before.
- Has worked in a Key II position at a Trident location in the past year.
- At least one (1) year of experience in food or seafood processing, or a related field.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Basic math skills to accurately weigh and measure seafood products.
- Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
- Strong hygiene practices and knowledge of food‑safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, meet production quotas while maintaining quality standards.
- Effective communication skills and teamwork ability.
Education and Experience
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience as a forklift driver, crane operator, fish grader, driver, scanner, or truck driver (preferred).
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather. The employee may be exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level is usually loud.
Physical demands include:
- Regularly stand, walk, use hands to reach and manipulate objects.
- Frequent balance or climbing.
- Occasional sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, speaking, or hearing.
- Move objects up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Vision requirements: distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
