BASIC FUNCTION
Promote and maintain positive working relations with fishing fleets, supervise offloading of fishing vessels for Uni Sea processing facilities, and coordinate support activities with Uni Sea Production team. Promote the Company’s image as a leading, environmentally conscious seafood producer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Supervise fleet support employees in handling products being unloaded from fishing vessels and recruit and schedule pollock, cod and crab boats.
- Supervise employees in manual and power assisted handling of packaged and unpackaged materials, parts and supplies to and from other departments and in support of shipping, receiving, warehouse and parts departments.
- Maintain deck, beach and rigging equipment ensuring that it is in good condition.
- Order supplies, bait, tools, and equipment as needed. Authorize P.O.’s and draw checks for crab, pollock, and cod.
- Direct the work necessary to keep decks, docks, and beach in a clear and orderly condition.
- Provide support to fishing fleet in scheduling docks, moorage, bait sales, equipment and gear hauling, and storage.
- Train and instruct employees in proper methods and equipment operation to assure their completion of tasks in an efficient and productive manner.
- Maintain regular and reliable radio contact with fleet and Company facilities.
- Provide cabin and dock space for trampers arriving and departing all hours of the day.
- Communicate with local and out of state support services for fishing fleet on a regular basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Four-year degree or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of 4-6 years related experience, including one year in a supervisory or lead position.
- Must have knowledge of fishing season openings/closures; must be familiar with the different types of fishing gear nets, cod, Pollock, and crab gear.
- Must learn to operate and be able to troubleshoot VHF, SSB, and satellite and tag phones.
- Must have excellent computer skills, including excel and outlook programs.
- Excellent supervisory, communication and organizational skills; ability to work closely with a diversity of cultures.

COMPENSATIONThis position is a salaried exempt position with a salary range of $94,395 – $113,290, DOE.
