School Janitor - Cleaner - On Call! Ambler, AK

NMS in Ambler, AK is looking to hire a full-time, part-time & on-call School Janitor - Cleaner. This custodial position offers a competitive wage starting at $19.50/HR DOE. Part-time and full-time employees are eligible for Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB).

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SCHOOL JANITOR - CLEANER

As a School Janitor - Cleaner, you keep our facilities looking good. You arrive for each custodial shift ready to work, enjoy staying in the zone, and perform tasks efficiently while remaining friendly and service oriented. Responsibilities include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, sanitizing, restocking rooms, and other janitorial duties as needed. You remove trash and transport it to appropriate areas.

When needed, you assist with light maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs. At the end of each shift, you take pride in the school shining.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience demonstrating working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes
• The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc.
• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• A valid driver's license with a 3-year driving record acceptable to the company's insurance carrier
