Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Completion of a nursing program accredited by a recognized nursing education institution.
• Preferred:
  Minimum one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a healthcare setting.
• Active Registered Professional Nurse license in good standing in the State of Alaska.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficient with standard office equipment (computer, telephone, fax, copier).
• Skilled in medical equipment use, such as EKG and cystoscopy.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to provide nursing care consistent with Alaska's nursing practice standards.
• Competent in managing patient care across the continuum.
• Flexibility in work schedule and ability to perform independently within defined limits.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and nursing processes.
• Basic nursing and EKG skills.
• Critical thinking skills for interpreting diagnostic information and healthcare documentation.
• Experience with supervising support staff, collaborating with charge nurses.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret diagnostic test results.
