Monday, 5 pm—Tuesday, 5 pm (I can workaround class schedules). Start and end times are very flexible. Expect a fair amount of downtime / free time throughout the shift.

Position Summary / ResponsibilitiesHi there! I am looking for a hard-working and reliable person to assist me, a 40 year old man with a spinal cord injury, with my personal cares and other activities. I am a counselor at the University of Wisconsin Madison, and I live downtown—close to State Street and the Capitol. You will be joining my team of excellent caregivers. No previous experience necessary.
This is a great resume builder for individuals going into healthcare professions, such as OT, PT, nursing, and medicine.
- Provide assistance with personal cares, such as dressing, showering, toileting, transfer to and from wheelchair, meal prep, laundry, housekeeping, etc.
- Some lifting is required.
- Yes—plan on sleeping during overnight hours!
- Each shift will usually present you with downtime/personal time.
- I travel frequently, so you may have opportunities to do so with me.
- $/hr for active hours. $10.50/hr for overnight/sleep time
- You must have a valid driver's license--but you do not need a vehicle.
- You must pass a criminal background check.
- CNA / Caregiving experience helpful, but NOT REQUIRED
- I require a one year commitment tiple years preferred.
