Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is: to perform a variety of technical duties in support of the base level civilian and military formal and ancillary training programs. Also provides technical leadership to lower graded personnel in support of the training program. Duties:
* Manages civilian training program.
* Conducts training surveys and coordinates annual screening requirements when requested by MAJCOM and career programs.
* Arranges and organizes the Civilian Training Committee.
* Manages military technical training allocations and the selection process for no-name allocations to include Officer/Enlisted PME.
* Compiles a list of eligible individuals for Noncommissioned Officer Academy (NCOA) and Squadron Officer School (SOS). Requirements Help Conditions of employment

* U.S. Citizenship is required

* Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

* Personal data, to which the incumbent has access, are controlled by the Privacy Act of 1974 and must be safeguarded appropriately.
* As the next level of authority in the section, may be required to assume Education Center Team Chief reposibilities during their absence.
* May assist in a variety of program areas as required: CCAF/ Education, testing, Enlisted Specialty Training, Military or Civilian Training, PSM, routine customer service, and UPRG Management.
* The employee must support contingency/emergency operations and may be required to work extended hours which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

* Recall to duty may be a requirement of this position.
* Overtime and/or emergency overtime may be required
* Work may require participation in Wing Augmentation Duty Program or other similar contingency capacities, (within skill set).
* Work may require completion of additional duties and/or activities inherent to unit operations.
* Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
* Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, for the GS-1702, Education and Training Technician Series.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR CURRENT FEDERAL EMPLOYEES:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of and the ability to interpret a variety of rules, regulations, procedures, and precedents relating to the International Military Student Office (IMSO) to resolve complex procedural and substantive problems;
Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs in support of IMSO office operations.
