Position: DIRECTOR OF MANPOWER AND PERSONNEL with Security Clearance
Location: Hoonah

Duties
* As Director of Manpower, Personnel, and Services at ANR & ALCOM plans, organizes, and manages the activities of the directorate, and serves as the primary advisor to the Commander on all military and civilian personnel matters.
* Provides strategic and technical guidance as well as seasoned consultative management advisory services throughout ANR & ALCOM on the effective use of Military and Civilian HRM to support goals and objectives and produce results that accomplish agency and command missions.
* Manages and conducts personnel readiness and personnel accountability functions that support Joint Reception, Staging, Onward Movement and Integration (JRSOI) and enable command and control of incident response operations.
* Prepares and delivers written reports and oral presentations, e.g., briefings, training sessions, consultations, orientations, and discussions with command leadership, supervisors, customers, and conducts or leads conferences as representative of the command.
* Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work of senior military personnel in the J1. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Work performed by incumbent may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft or other modes of travel
* This position has been designated as Special Sensitive. The employee is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmental Information clearance as a condition of employment
* This position is designated by the Air Force as a Test Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.
* As a mandatory requirement for employment in this TDP, the incumbent is (A) to refrain from use of illegal drugs and (B) if required, to submit to urinalysis testing.
* Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive position presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. The selectee must sign a statement acknowledging the position occupied is identified as a TDP
* May be required to perform Battle Roster functions during Exercise and Real World events including Joint Personnel Operation Cell, Contingency Command Center, Future Operations Center, Joint Enabling Capability, and other tasks as assigned
* These duties may require additional duty hours and/or alternate duty locations
* In the performance of assigned duties, employee uses tact, diplomacy, and professionalism to promote effective working relationships with a variety of offices and agencies
* The work may require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. Valid driver's license may be required for the position
* This position is Non-Combat Essential (NCE) IAW Section 1580 of title 10, USC, and DOES NOT provide civilian support to combat operations
* Duties of this position are to provide support for emergency operations, humanitarian missions, disaster relief or other expeditionary missions in the continental United States or overseas that are NOT considered "combat" locations
* Employee must meet the medical and suitability requirements of the positions as outlined in OF-178 and sign the DD Form 2365 as a condition of employment * "Conditions of Employment continue under Qualifications" Qualifications Conditions of Employment continue:
* Physical/Medical examination is required as a condition of employment for pre-employment and as required, during employment. Incumbent must meet the requirements specified on the DD Form 3207, Certificate of Medical Examination and be able to continually perform the physical requirements of the duties. Any physical/mental condition that would cause the applicant to be a hazard to themselves or others is disqualifying.

* This is a KEY position IAW 32 CFR, Part 44 Appendix A and DoD Directive 1200.7. A Key Position is a Federal position that cannot be vacated during a war, national emergency, or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the parent Federal Agency to function effectively. Applicants for positions designated as "Key" positions who do not agree to this condition shall not be extended an offer of employment.

The employee must be removed from the Ready Reserve and CANNOT become a member of the Ready Reserve while assigned to this position.
