Personal Financial Counselor - Fort Wainwright, AK

Magellan Health is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor to provide financial services to military service members and their families at Fort Wainwright, AK.

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and families.
• Assist in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Develop and distribute informational financial materials.
• Coordinate and deliver a variety of personal financial management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.
• Respond to requests for age‑appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling and other electronic communication modes when authorized.
• Manage duty‑to‑warn situations according to DoD protocol.
• Communicate with leadership and participate in supervision, sharing trends and issues.
• Participate in regular in‑services/training and quality improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree required; associate degree + 4 years experience or high school diploma + 6 years experience may be considered.
• Minimum 3 years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and fluent in English; bilingual English/Spanish required if contract specifies.
• Must obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
• Must pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process.
• Certified AFC, CFP, or ChFC required.

Salary range: $53,125 to $84,995. Eligible for short‑term incentives and comprehensive benefits.
