Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic Security Clearance

Position: ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC with Security Clearance
Location: Hoonah

Duties The primary purpose of this position is:
To repair, overhaul, rebuild, modify, test, troubleshoot, remove, replace, align, calibrate, inspect and mate avionics integrated electronic and environmental systems. Serves as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) providing training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks herein. Duties:
* Installs, modifies overhauls, maintains, troubleshoots repairs, rebuilds, aligns, and calibrates electronic and environmental systems, components, or subassemblies.
* Performs pretest, operational (functional), or final testing of electronic environmental systems, components, or subassemblies.
* Utilizes safety practices and procedures, complies with security regulations, directives, and policies, and maintains a safe and clean work area.
* Ensures tools are properly marked, calibrated (if necessary), and are secured when area is unattended.
* Complies with required instruction, guidance and/or training and provides instruction, guidance and training to others.
* Certifies work produced under the USAF Technical Order Program. Requirements Conditions of employment

In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C for or the WG-2600 Electronic Equipment Installation and Maintenance Family. The screen out element for this position is the ability to do the work of an Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic without more than normal supervision.

JOB ELEMENTS:
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
* Knowledge of electronic theories and practices of one or more complex integrated systems such as fire control, inertial navigation, or automatic landing control systems; of integrated electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, optical, and mechanical systems; of such applications as radar, digital or analog computers, digital display devices, equipment cooling, and of the technology and practices which integrate these components into a total functional system;

and of mathematics including algebra and basic trigonometric functions to adapt standard function to the specific requirements of the integrated systems.
* The Ability to interpret and comply with regulations and instructions on security, safety, documentation, and other publications governing the performance of duties. The Ability to clean work area and/or job site upon completion of work. Knowledge of USAF Technical Order Program and its procedures.
* Skill in the set up and operation of computer controlled automated test equipment (ATE) and test stands, oscilloscopes (dual trace, storage, digitized), spectrum, network and distortion analyzers, frequency counters, and signal generators; in interpreting complex drawings, specifications, and schematics of complete integrated systems to recognize the function and interconnections of components, assemblies, subassemblies, and connecting cable harness; and in troubleshooting, installing, repairing, and maintaining electronic integrated systems where circuit theory must be used to understand the operation of a large number of circuits and functions, and the interaction of subsystems which create malfunctions.

* Knowledge of testing and troubleshooting techniques and procedures utilizing a variety of test devices and ability to analyze modify, and repair complex electrical or environmental systems and components on assigned aircraft.
