Job Description
  • Job Title: After school Academic Tutor
  • Hours: 2 hours/day (M-TH)
  • Salary: $40.00/hr for Certified or $20.00/hr for Classified
  • No. DAYS: 124 days maximum
  • Reports To: Site Principal or designated lead teacher(s)
  • Location: Akiak
  • Job Purpose: The After school Academic Tutor will support Yupiit School District in providing tutoring for students.
  • Funding: This position is grant funded, and there is a possibility that it will not be funded or available after the Term of Service.
Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Must pass a background
  • Provide after school tutoring and academic assistance for students
  • Maintain accurate records for student participation, including student sign-in sheets and staff time and effort sheets.
Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills. (Required)
  • Able to connect will to students of all ages. (Required)
  • Ability to understand basic reading, math, and Language Arts
  • Ability to work well without direct supervision, as well as in a team
