What to Expect

(Job Responsibilities)

  • Assess, develop, and implement camper inclusion support plans to enhance camper success
  • Support summer camp staff in managing a variety of camper needs
  • Work with campers individually and in groups to promote social, emotional, and behavioral growth
  • Collaborate with families and staff to create inclusive experiences for all campers
  • Facilitate communication between camper families and staff regarding behavior and inclusion support needs
Qualifications
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in Special Education, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, PBIS, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, ABA Therapy, or a relevant field
  • Certification in First Aid/CPR (training will be provided if needed)
  • Ability to pass a child care background check and fingerprint screening
  • Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and patience
  • Capacity to build rapport with campers of diverse ages and backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience applying behavioral strategies in outdoor, nature-based programming
  • Flexibility and initiative in responding to changing circumstances
  • Sense of humor and ability to work well in a team environment
