responsibilities
- following prescribed techniques in performing procedures such as adjusting equipment; determining proper voltage, current and desired time; arranges immobilization and support devices; adjusts lead shielding; and selects proper film.
- cleaning x-ray room and equipment daily.
- performing call assignments as needed.
- performing quality control tasks and maintains quality control reports as required, specific to the procedures performed.
- performing general office duties such as scheduling, answering phones, filing, and scheduling of incoming patients, as necessary.
- performing diagnostic testing and general maintenance on equipment.
- moving equipment into specified position, preparing room, contrast material, and other materials needed to perform procedures as needed.
- practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff.
