Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions.
Administer medications, IVs, and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor patient status, report changes, and document care accurately.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and discharge instructions.
Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control guidelines, and safety standards.
Requirements of the Travel Nurse
Active New Mexico RN license (or compact eligible).
Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
Minimum 1-2 years' recent Med Surg nursing experience.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Ability to manage a diverse patient population in a dynamic unit.
Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts.
