Job SnapshotTo counsel and guide by implementing a comprehensive school level guidance program based on the American School Counseling Association National Standards and focused on the physical, social, intellectual, emotional, and vocational growth of each student.
Education and Experience Requirements- National Certified School Counselor credential issued by National Board for Certified Counselors;
- Master's degree in Guidance Counseling or Master’s in Social Work;
- Current New Mexico licensure from Counseling & Practice Board or Social Work Board (LPC, LPCC, LMHC, LISW, LCSW, LMSW);
- Current New Mexico Public Education License as School Counselor (preferred or eligibility);
- School experience preferred.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective communication and relationships with students, parents, staff, and administrators;
- Ability to perform essential job functions and job task requirements;
- Ability to develop a rapport with community providers and build collaboration to assure ongoing care for our students.

SalaryNine months (185 days) per contract year and appropriate placement on the District Certified Teacher Salary Schedule. The work calendar is subject to change based on any Board approved revisions that may or may not be permanent.
