Guards, patrols, or monitors premises to prevent theft, violence, or rule infractions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Patrols industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensures security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Answers alarms and investigates disturbances.
- Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
- Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Calls police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Circulates among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
- Checks all vehicles and donation center doors, lift gates, and roll-up doors to ensure they are locked and secured.
- Notifies management immediately if any illegal activity is conducted during business hours.
- Safeguards company property, including donated goods. Reports incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of company property immediately.
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
- Education: High School Graduate or GED preferred.
- Experience: 6 months to 1 year preferred.
- Computer Skills: Knowledge of MS Office, email, and internet preferred.
- Certificates & Licenses: Guard Card issued by California, valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and acceptable driving record.
- Schedule:
5 days/week, including weekends and evenings. - Travel: 50-75%.
