We are seeking a RA / Sr. RA to conduct chemical synthesis and chromatographic purification of peptides, oligonucleotides and oligo‑peptide conjugates to evaluate the pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) properties of therapeutic candidates. The successful candidate will have hands‑on experience with peptide chemistry and will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support various drug discovery projects.
Responsibilities- Perform peptide synthesis on Liberty Prime and Multi‑Pep synthesizer
- Perform conjugations of oligonucleotides and peptides to various chemical tags (biotin, fluorescent dyes, etc.)
- Perform HPLC purification and MS analysis of synthesized products
- Maintenance of chemistry instruments and supplies
- Ability to work on site in our lab spaces located in the Research Park at Marina Village (Alameda, CA)
- Must have direct hands‑on experience with solid‑phase peptide synthesis and downstream processing (cleavage, deprotection and purification)
- Direct experience with automated peptide synthesizers (Liberty Prime and Multi Pep) highly preferred
- Nice to have but not required:
Previous experience with solid‑phase oligonucleotide synthesis and conjugation - Motivated and proactive with strong problem‑solving skills
- Ability to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously
- Team‑oriented and open to collaboration across scientific disciplines
- Title is dependent on academic and professional experience – we recruit diverse backgrounds including those with academic, non‑profit, and industry experiences!
- RA / Senior RA – Undergraduate and 2+ yrs industry (or similar) experience
