The City of Alameda is looking for applicants to perform a variety of part‑time maintenance work across multiple city departments, including Parks & Recreation, Public Works, and the Mastick Senior Center. The most frequent part‑time positions include:

• Building and Facility Maintenance – responding to basic facility maintenance requests, basic electrical repairs, changing lights, and other minor building repairs.
• Park Maintenance – picking up trash, emptying trash cans, cleaning park bathrooms and recreation facilities, conducting light weeding.
• Janitorial and Custodial Work – cleaning bathrooms and other city facilities, emptying trash.

Candidates may be hired as a Maintenance Assistant I ($18.04 to $26.65
) or a Maintenance Assistant II ($19.81 to $29.27
).

• Applications are reviewed for a match in qualifications only if a part‑time opening becomes available.

If a hiring manager is interested in your application, you will be contacted for an interview. If no part‑time openings are available or your application is not a match, it will remain on file for 3 months. The application will remain active for 3 months; applicants are encouraged to reapply every 3 months.

Applicants selected to move forward in the hiring process will be required to undergo a pre‑employment medical assessment.
