We are looking for a Helpdesk technician for a direct Manufacturing client.

WHO YOU ARE

As an IT Technician on the Data Systems team, you will offer initial desktop computer, printer, networking, and software support to a diverse group of engineers, technicians, and scientists.

Your role involves working with individuals with varying computer skills and support needs. Each day, you will address a range of technical challenges, managing and prioritizing multiple support requests.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Troubleshoot and rectify hardware and software issues on both Mac and Windows PCs for client and shared lab computers.
  • Diagnose and resolve basic network issues, including troubleshooting wireless access points.
  • Configure and troubleshoot AV hardware and software, including video conferencing phones and cameras.
  • Conduct tests, evaluations, and installations of new software and hardware.
  • Manage Microsoft Active Directory and Google G Suite user accounts and groups.
  • Oversee Brivo key card system and troubleshoot key card and card reader issues.
  • Manage IT documentation and client how-to documents.
  • Undertake IT projects as assigned by Data Systems Leadership.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in IT support, encompassing phone support, on-site client support, or AV/IT setup and installation.
  • AA degree or equivalent with a focus on IT client support, computer security, and networking protocols.
  • Hands‑on experience troubleshooting Macintosh and Windows hardware and operating systems, including hardware upgrades.
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts (e.g., DHCP, DNS, LDAP) and experience with enterprise wireless networks.
  • Working knowledge of G Suite/Workplace, Active Directory, Microsoft Office, and task management software.
  • Preferred background in data cabling installation, electronic door security systems, and alarm/security system management.
