We are looking for an engaged, driven Healthcare Analyst for our Zero Balance team. You will work closely with your team, be a trusted point of contact for clients and teammates, evaluate and review contracts between hospitals and insurance carriers, and research trends underlying underpayments.
Key Responsibilities- Review contracts, model claims data, and identify lost revenue.
- Contact responsible parties for claim payment.
- Prepare and forward claim appeal letters with supporting documentation for denial overturn.
- Establish working relationships with individuals at insurance companies.
- Communicate with teammates and leadership to identify trends.
- Contact insurance companies via phone, email, and written appeal to recover dollars.
- Perform analysis on large data sets to identify underpayment and denial trends.
- Conduct research on current laws and regulations pertaining to hospital reimbursement methodology.
- Contribute to client decks and weekly reports to track progress and present to leadership.
- Maintain personal hourly rate by meeting project metrics efficiently.
- Attend Privacy and Security Training as required by the HIPAA Awareness Program and comply with all policies to protect confidential information.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage time effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic to experienced knowledge of Excel.
- Effective documentation skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical capabilities with financial acumen.
- Private, dedicated workspace ensuring confidentiality.
- Understanding of health insurance, EHR/EMR, and claims handling.
- Undergraduate degree or internship in a healthcare-related field preferred.
- Experience in healthcare operations preferred.
- Understanding of auditing and reporting tools such as SQL.
- Presentation and client-relations experience a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in Revenue Cycle or Healthcare Claims preferred.

Pay RangeUS base pay range starts at $25.00 hourly. Individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, education, training, licensure, certifications, market, location, and organizational factors.
