Will consider Analyst I. Under the general supervision and direction of Supervisor I, of the Compliance Management Branch, the incumbent serves as the District Safety Specialist and is responsible for researching and addressing safety related issues and provide recommendations and reports to the management. The incumbent reviews accident investigations, monitors crew compliance, and conducts field operational reviews. The incumbent is responsible for completing and monitoring annual facility inspections and reports using applicable checklists and regulations.
The incumbent shall actively participate in the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and be available for emergency operations, as needed. The incumbent is responsible for all safety-related investigations, reports and work activities affecting the employees within the district. May be asked to perform additional duties as necessary, based on operational need. This is a highly confidential position, and the incumbent must adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality policies.
The incumbent is the single point of contact for safety guidance related to the Department's Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). A valid California driver’s license is required.

Working ConditionsPosition located at 111 Grand Avenue, Oakland, CA 94612, Alameda County. Multiple positions may be filled from this recruitment. This position is eligible for telework with the amount of telework at the Department’s discretion. In-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. The selected candidate may be required to conduct business travel on behalf of the Department or commute to the headquarter location.
Business travel reimbursements are subject to CalHR regulations and applicable bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the headquarter location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
