Right At School is a leading for‑profit education enrichment company offering children before‑ and after‑school programs nationwide. Compensation: $29‑33.50 per hour (based on prior experience, education, and credentials)
Work Model: Part‑time On‑site (30 hours per week)

Position Summary: Right At School is seeking a dynamic Educational Support Specialist to foster student success and program excellence. The role partners with curriculum, compliance, and field leadership teams to implement and maintain a quality, compliant, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
A Day in the Life of This Role Instructional Staff and Team Development- Implement individualized and small‑group instruction, lesson plans, and instructional activities while reinforcing lessons to help students master concepts.
- Adapt materials to meet diverse student needs and support those with special needs using accommodations and modifications outlined in IEPs, 504, or ELL plans.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging participation, independence, and self‑regulation skills.
- Provide direction and behavioral support, implementing behavior management plans and strategies.
- Assist students with personal care tasks as directed.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant company, licensing, and district‑specific processes, policies, and expectations.
- Maintain safety and cleanliness standards within program environments.
- Apply curriculum, behavioral management strategies, and child development best practices.
- Monitor and supervise students in various settings, promoting safety, well‑being, and inclusion.
- Collect student progress and behavior data, providing feedback to program and area managers.
- Collaborate with the Area Manager and Impact Team to identify students with unique needs and stay informed about updated inclusion practices.
- CA Specific:
Adhere to ELO‑P/ASES and Heritage licensing guidelines related to program quality and student support/outcomes.
- Support the implementation of quality assurance and safety protocols across programs.
- Conduct regular safety and program quality assessments of all program activities.
- Review and update safety procedures, emergency plans, and protocols regularly.
- Coordinate with program managers to identify areas for improvement and support the creation and implementation of improvement plans.
- Collaborate with the Impact Team to create actionable plans for field operations effectiveness.
- Work closely with the Area Manager to implement district‑specific goals and initiatives.
- CA Specific:
Review results of program quality assessments (PQA) with the Area Manager and support implementation of improvement strategies. - Other duties as assigned.
- A bachelor's degree in education, child development, social work, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience may be considered.
- Three (3) or more years of proven experience in youth development, after‑school programming, or a related field.
- Familiarity with conducting assessments, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong understanding of program implementation, quality assurance, and best practices in youth education.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, licensing regulations, and educational standards; familiarity with California’s ELOP/ASES guidelines and Heritage licensing is highly desirable for CA‑based roles.
- Demonstrated ability to model, mentor, and train staff effectively.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and child development principles.
- Experience supporting inclusive environments for students with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
