Job Description And Duties

Under the direction of the Workers' Compensation Manager, the incumbent performs a variety of professional duties in the Uninsured Employers’ Benefits Trust Fund (UEBTF) Program in an effort to settle and resolve claims of injured workers who were industrially injured while working for an illegally uninsured employer and seek reimbursement of benefits paid out by the Fund from the illegally uninsured employer.

This position is located at 1515 Clay Street, Oakland, CA 94612. The incumbent works in a cubicle environment in an office setting with artificial light and temperature control. The incumbent is required to work extensively on the computer for email communication, research, drafting policy and procedure documents, and other purposes. Confidentiality must be maintained at all times. Telework will be offered in accordance with current departmental policy.
