Position Description

Immediate opening for a SOLO Non‑CDL Truck Driver. We want the right trucker to join us in Alabaster, AL.

Pay: $1050 or more per week.

• Driver Positions Pay:
  Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.40 per Mile (1500 Miles per Week)
• Solo Stops Pay: $10.00 per Stop
• Per Diem Pay: $40.00 per night (2 nights per Week)
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel
• Load Out Pay: $21.50
• Paid Training
• Schedule:
  
  Tuesday – Friday
• Start Time: 2:30 am

Route: SOLO to AL, LA, MS, TN, GA, FL (Regional). Tractor: 26' straight trucks. Must have box truck and delivery experience. Freight:
Touch – Glass – Hand unload and Forklift.

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Verifiable driving experience in similar equipment; 6 months experience in the past 3 years OR 2 years within the last 5 years OR 5 years within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check (drug/alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

• Safely drive a vehicle within and comply with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards.
• Maintaining accurate records; loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
• Other tasks as assigned.
