We are passionate and excited about how we can develop and utilize new technologies to shape and inspire changes within an ever-growing marketplace. As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for a Production Scheduler to join our Manufacturing Team.
You will be responsible for production scheduling using SAP, ERP, or an approved alternate software to meet customer orders and stock plans. This position works closely with customer service, production, quality, and purchasing to understand and communicate scheduling plans.
What You'll Be Doing:

* Accurate and timely day to day scheduling and prioritization of process orders in response to production plans and demand plans as well as changing business needs.
* Completion of production schedules that maximize capacity, minimize stocking levels, and improve OEE while minimizing downtime throughout all production resources.
* Using SAP MRP, or some alternate ERP MRP, continually review proposed output and make decisions on the viability of turning planned order requirements into firm process orders.
* Ensure all forward demands are being met and take appropriate action to add, move or cancel production to minimize working capital.
* Identify and action reworking material to continually minimize blocked and aging stock with input from Quality.
* Ability to problem solve scheduling issues to reliably and accurately meet established KPIs.
* Investigate and respond to customer complaints, production deviations, or safety investigations.
* Effectively communicate the production schedule and any issues arising from it to production, procurement, customer service, sales, and management.
* Participate and/or lead the weekly tactical sales and operational planning sessions at the site.
* Facilitate daily production meetings providing key scheduling information to improve the efficiency of the manufacturing process and to optimize capacity.
* Provide feedback into the maintenance scheduling process to prioritize maintenance efforts and to minimize customer delays due to maintenance downtime.

* High school diploma required, AA, AS, or BS preferred in a technical field.
* Engineering or Production Management experience is a plus.
* Project management skills.
* Ability to progress multiple projects simultaneously to successful conclusions under own initiative.
* Working knowledge of FDA regulations.
* Knowledge of chemical laboratory procedures, standard research techniques and equipment.
* Demonstrated technical/analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Must be able to identify problems encountered in development work and recommend possible solutions.
* Must have oral and written proficiency in the English language.
* Material Management experience in an ERP.
* Experience in Production Planning Modules in an ERP or equivalent system.
* Advanced knowledge of manufacturing operations and schedules, chemical industry preferred.
* Ability to schedule multiple activities with competing priorities.
* Ability to interface with all levels in the organization, including manufacturing or lab personnel and senior management.
* Ability to drive teams and suppliers to complete commitments and projects in a timely manner.
* Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel required: pivot tables and graphs; expertise with word-processing and presentation software; with proficiency in PowerPoint to create and edit presentations.
* Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills.
* Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
