Job SummaryResponsible for supervising employees involved in the construction, modification, repair, and calibration of tools, dies, jigs, and other precision instruments. Ensures production support through proper tool operability and project execution within safety and quality standards.
Job Duties- Oversee the construction, repair, modification, maintenance, and calibration of machine shop tools, dies, jigs, and instruments.
- Supervise and ensure accuracy in laying out, fitting, and assembly of parts.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor employee performance and job assignments.
- Ensure tools and dies support efficient and effective manufacturing operations.
- Create, update, and maintain accurate records of all manufacturing and tool‑related projects.
- Estimate costs, time, labor, and equipment requirements for projects.
- Evaluate and improve production methods, equipment efficiency, and product quality.
- Enforce compliance with applicable safety and environmental regulations.
- Participate in development activities including tool fitting, timing, adjustments, and fabrication.
- Accurately complete all required documentation and reports.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in alignment with 5S standards.
- Adhere to and promote all Safety, Environmental, and Quality Management System requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in tool and die manufacturing, including supervisory or team lead responsibilities.
- Solid understanding of industry policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and direct team members effectively.
- Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Proven leadership and team coordination abilities.
- High attention to detail and quality standards.
- Manual dexterity and precision in handling tools and equipment.
- Project and time management skills.
- Strong organizational and planning capabilities.
