About the Role

This role supports the full software engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, unit testing, integration, and support for formal testing and delivery. The position involves hands-on development in C/C++ and collaboration with multi-disciplinary engineering teams. Work is performed in a secured environment requiring restricted facility access.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements analysis and object-oriented design activities
• Develop high-quality software using C, C++, and Python
• Execute unit testing, debugging, and code verification
• Support software integration and formal test activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
• Implement software solutions following established development plans and standards
• Contribute to design documentation and technical reviews
• Assist in software-hardware integration efforts
• Support continuous improvement of engineering and development processes

Qualifications

• 11+ years of hands-on programming experience with C, C++, and Python
• Experience in software development lifecycle activities
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
• Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS), such as Green Hills or Vx Works
• Knowledge of Agile software development practices
• Experience writing and designing software based on requirements
• Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Experience with software-hardware integration
