GTAW Welder

Location: Elmore

We are hiring a welder with TIG Certification to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in welding and fabrication, with a specialization in GTAW welding techniques. Please note that qualifications may vary depending on the specific contract and project requirements. Travel expenses will not be covered in case of failing the weld test, as each project may require different types of weld tests.

Make sure you fully understand the test and certification requirements before traveling and taking the weld test.

Description

• Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards and assign necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.
• Fabrication: Fabricate metal parts and products according to design specifications and project requirements, utilizing various welding and metalworking techniques. Perform outside fabrication work as needed by customers.
• Material Handling: Safely handle and manage raw materials, including cutting, bending, and shaping metal components.
• Welding: Perform welding tasks using various processes to join metal parts together, ensuring high-quality welds and structural integrity.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure the assigned Crew strictly adheres to safety protocols and maintains a safe work environment at all times, promoting a culture of safety. Report any non-conformities to the Supervisor via email.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of fabrication tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Site Supervisor to interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications, ensuring accurate execution of custom projects. Communicate with assigned crew and Fire watch.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of materials used, work completed, and time spent on each project for billing and reporting purposes.

Qualifications:

• - High school diploma or equivalent is a plus
• -OSHA 10 Certification is a plus
• - Completion of a welding certification program or apprenticeship
• - Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a GTAW welder
• - Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and welding symbols
• - Ability to operate and maintain welding equipment
• - Knowledge of different types of metals and welding techniques
• - Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds
• - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• - Strong communication skills and ability to follow safety procedures
• - Valid welding certification (e.g. AWS certification) is a plus.

Salary

$25 - $35 per hour
