Travel RN - Cardiovascular ICU

Location: Fernbank

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CVSICU) position requiring dedicated open-heart unit background and proficiency with advanced cardiac monitoring and support devices.

Job Details

• 18-bed Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CVSICU) within a large academic hospital setting,

• Cares for patients recovering from cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, lung transplantation, ventricular assist device placement, and other complex cardiothoracic procedures,

• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2,

• Required equipment experience includes ventilator management, CRRT, Swan-Ganz catheter, epicardial wires/pacemakers, vasoactive drip titration, IABP (Level
1), and ECMO,

• Epic EMR preferred,

• Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts),

• AM/PM rotation or straight PM scheduling,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license - Maryland license or Compact RN license currently in hand,

• BLS certification required,

• ACLS preferred;
Critical Care Certification and trauma course also preferred,

• Current hands-on experience with post-op cardiac surgery patient recovery in an ICU setting required,

• Experience in a dedicated open-heart unit with direct OR patient transfers required,

• Experience at a facility with 500+ beds required,

• SSN and DOB required for consideration,

• One professional reference required for consideration,

• Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month,
