• Taking vital signs such as temperature and blood pressure
• Completing basic patient care tasks (e.g., changing a bandage, inserting a catheter)
• Observing patients for changes in health, mood, and behavior and reporting concerns to an RN Unit Manager or physician on duty
• Listening to patients and their families
• Preparing patients for care, describing procedures, and addressing concerns or grievances
• Administering medications as prescribed
• Providing immunizations
• Mentoring CNAs/NAs to provide optimal care

• Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing and meeting all applicable Federal and State licensure requirements
• Basic nursing competency skills
• Experience with electronic medical records and documentation
• Graduate of an accredited LPN program
